House Removals by Area and Property Size
Find the town, city or county you are moving out of, or start from the size of the property you are leaving. Each page below carries the local detail for that move and a direct route to a quote.
Where to start
If your completion date is set and you know the property, open the matching property-size page first — it explains how long a move that size normally takes and what crew it needs. If you are still checking whether we cover your area, open your town, city or county instead. Both lead to the same quote, and the figure you are shown comes from your addresses and inventory, not from the page you started on.
What each area page covers
- How house moves normally run in that town or city
- Access, parking and loading notes for local property types
- Neighbouring areas the same crew reaches on the same day
- A direct link to a quote for that address

Planning a move with a chain
Moves inside a chain rarely land on the day everyone first agreed, so plan the parts you control. Pack room by room and label boxes by the room they are going to, not the room they came from. Keep keys, paperwork, chargers and a change of clothes in a bag that travels with you rather than in the van. Book the crew against your best current date and tell us the moment it changes. Those three habits take most of the pressure out of completion day.
House removals directory: common questions
How far ahead should I book a house move?
Most people book two to four weeks out. Completion dates move, so tell us the date you have and update it if it slips — that is a normal part of a house move rather than a problem.
Late-summer weekends and the last working day of a month fill up first, so those are worth pinning down earlier if your date is fixed.
What happens if my completion date changes at short notice?
Contact us as soon as the date moves. We rebook the same job onto a new day rather than starting the quote again, so the price you agreed follows the move. Chain delays are common and we plan around them; the earlier we know, the more likely we can hold the same crew.
Do you move things other than furniture and boxes?
Yes. Garden equipment, garage contents, loft items, bikes and white goods all travel on a normal house move as long as they are emptied and disconnected first. Tell us about anything unusually heavy or awkward when you book so the right van and crew are sent, rather than discovering it on the day.
Why does the property size change the quote?
Property size is the best single predictor of how long loading takes and how much van space you need. A two-bedroom flat and a four-bedroom house can hold a similar number of boxes but very different furniture, and it is the furniture that sets the crew size.
That is why each property size has its own page rather than one page for every move.
