Sports bikes
High-value machines including Japanese, Italian, and German brands. Enclosed trailer recommended for bikes over £10,000.
Moving a motorcycle is not the same as moving a car. Fairings crack under ratchet straps. Fuel tanks dent when strapping points are wrong. Paint marks where contact pads slip. Giant Van provides dedicated motorcycle transport across the UK using specialist wheel cradles, soft fabric tie-down straps, and trained operators who handle bikes every day — from standard commuters to high-value sports machines and vintage classics.
Whether you have bought a bike at auction, are relocating and need your motorcycle transported separately from your removal van, or have a non-runner that needs collecting, our door-to-door service covers the whole of the United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Giant Van transports motorcycles anywhere in the UK from £99, priced by distance. We use specialist wheel cradles and soft fabric straps — ratchet straps are never used on bodywork. Open or enclosed trailer available. Every booking is insured up to £3,000. Get an instant quote online or message us in the live chat on this page.
Motorcycle transport with Giant Van starts from £99, priced by distance — see the bands below. All prices include door-to-door collection and delivery, specialist cradle loading, soft strap securing, AM or PM collection windows, and insurance up to £3,000.
Getting a motorcycle onto a transporter safely requires the right equipment and the right technique. Here is exactly what we use on every booking.

Your bike's front wheel is locked into a padded wheel cradle that prevents lateral movement throughout the journey. Cradles are lined to protect wheel rims from contact damage.
We use soft fabric tie-down straps on every motorcycle we transport. Ratchet straps are never applied to bodywork, frames, or painted surfaces. Over-tightened ratchet straps are the single most common cause of transport damage on motorcycles — we eliminated that risk entirely.
Our motorcycle transport vans are fitted with purpose-built loading ramps rated for the weight of any bike we carry. Bikes are never lifted or dragged into position. The ramp angle is set per vehicle type — lower and gentler for low-slung cruisers, standard pitch for naked bikes and sports machines.
Each motorcycle is transported individually or with sufficient padding between loads. Bikes never touch during transit.
A full photographic condition check is completed before loading and again at delivery. Both parties review and confirm. This protects you and it protects us.
Our motorcycle transport service covers every category of powered two- and three-wheeled vehicle on UK roads.
Enter collection and delivery postcodes plus your bike details at giantvan.com/quote. Your price is displayed instantly with no obligation.
Choose AM (8am–12pm) or PM (12pm–6pm) on your preferred date. Pay in full to confirm your booking — no deposit needed.
On arrival, the operator photographs your motorcycle from all angles. Both you and the operator confirm the condition record before loading begins.
Your bike is rolled up the loading ramp and placed into the specialist wheel cradle. Soft straps are applied at the correct securing points for your bike type. GPS tracking activates.
A post-delivery condition check is completed at the destination. Keys are handed over and you sign the delivery confirmation. SMS notification sent when the driver is 30 minutes away.

No. Giant Van transports non-running motorcycles as standard. We use a wheel cradle to roll the bike into position without requiring the engine to start. If your bike has seized brakes, a flat tyre, or cannot be pushed under its own weight, advise us at booking so we can confirm the right loading approach.
Never. Giant Van uses soft fabric straps only on every motorcycle transport booking. Ratchet straps are not used on bodywork, frames, or painted surfaces — they are not carried on our motorcycle transport vehicles.
Yes. Transporting a motorbike after an auction purchase is one of our most common bookings. Provide the collection address, confirm whether the bike is running, and we will arrange collection and delivery to your home, storage, or workshop.
Yes. We transport scooters and mopeds from 50cc upwards. Confirm the make, model, and dimensions when booking.
Yes. All motorcycles are insured up to £3,000 in value throughout the journey as standard. Full insurance details — including cover types, exclusions, and the claim process — are on our [Removals Insurance page](/resources/insurance). If your bike is worth more than £3,000, [contact us](/contact) to discuss higher-value cover before booking.
Hard panniers should be emptied before transport. If possible, remove them — this reduces weight transfer risk and simplifies cradle loading. Soft luggage must be removed completely.
Most routes under 200 miles complete on the same day. Routes over 300 miles may deliver the following morning. Exact timings are confirmed at booking based on your specific route.
Yes. We collect from storage units, lockups, private garages, and commercial premises. Our transport vehicles need approximately 3 metres of clear headroom and enough space to position the ramp. Tell us about low ceilings, narrow entrances, or tight turns when booking so we can confirm the right vehicle for your access.
Yes. Classic bikes are transported using enclosed trailers, handled with additional care, and secured with soft straps only. We have transported pre-war machines, competition bikes, and one-off customs.
For our purposes, these are the same service. Motorcycle transport and motorcycle delivery service both refer to our door-to-door collection and delivery using specialist equipment. There is no difference in service level based on how you describe it — the same cradles, straps, and insurance apply either way.

Every motorcycle is photographed before loading and again at delivery, so any condition change is documented at both ends. If damage is identified at handover, raise it on the spot and we will start the claim process immediately. All transport is covered up to £3,000 by our goods-in-transit policy.
For the full claim procedure and dispute resolution path, see our [Removals Insurance page](/resources/insurance) or [contact us](/contact).
