House Removals in Partick, Glasgow

Partick has some access quirks that removals teams need to know before the van arrives.

Dumbarton Road is the main commercial artery running east to west. It carries heavy traffic through the day and has limited stopping places. If your property fronts onto Dumbarton Road or Merkland Street, our drivers will arrive early, ideally before 8am, to avoid peak congestion around Partick Cross.

Tenement buildings in G11 are the most common property type in the area.

Many have tight close entrances and narrow common stairs. The traditional Partick tenement close is typically 90 to 100 centimetres wide at the door frame. Large sofas and wardrobes will not fit upright. Our teams are experienced in disassembling furniture at the source property and reassembling it after the move. This adds time but prevents damage.

Streets around Hyndland and Thornwood tend to be slightly wider with on-street parking, which makes loading easier.

Crow Road and Balshagray Avenue give good van access and are generally manageable even with a larger removal lorry.
