Leicester City Centre has some of the most complex road access in the East Midlands.

The city centre has an extensive pedestrianised zone covering most of the retail core.

Vehicles cannot access streets like Gallowtree Gate or the Haymarket area during daytime hours, typically 8am to 6pm. If your property sits near these zones, we plan the route carefully and time the loading window to avoid penalty charge notices.

Granby Street and Charles Street carry high volumes of traffic during peak hours.

We avoid these routes between 8am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm where possible and schedule early morning starts for properties on or near these roads.

The Cultural Quarter, which covers the New Walk area and Halford Street, has on-street parking but it fills quickly.

We recommend applying for a temporary parking suspension through Leicester City Council at least two weeks before your move date. This reserves a loading bay directly outside your property. We can advise on the process if you are unfamiliar with it.

Properties near the Waterside regeneration zone, particularly along the River Soar on Bath Lane and Frog Island, often have height restrictions from barriers.
