Access is one of the most common sources of delay on moving day.

Scarborough's mix of coastal tourism infrastructure, Victorian street layouts, and newer residential estates means no two moves are exactly the same. Here is what to expect across the main postcode zones.

YO11 1 covers central Scarborough, including the railway station area, Newborough, and Valley Road.

Removal vehicles often need to use loading bays on Aberdeen Walk or stop temporarily on Westborough while furniture is carried from upper-floor flats. YO11 2 takes in the South Cliff, Ramshill, and the streets around Belvoir Terrace and Crown Terrace. Many homes here are tall terraced properties with no front garden, so our crews carry items directly from the doorstep to the van.

YO12 4 covers Weaponess Park, Wheatcroft Avenue, and the residential streets behind the Weaponess Valley.

Here there is usually more road space, but houses often have long garden paths or internal staircases. YO12 5 stretches toward Barrowcliff and the Sandybed Lane area. YO12 6 covers Eastfield, Cayton, and the southern edge of the borough along the A64 corridor.
