Ashton Old Road (A635) is the main arterial route through Openshaw and handles high traffic volumes during morning and evening rush hours, roughly 7.30am to 9am and 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Plan your move outside these windows if you can. Lees Street, Bengal Street, and parts of Forge Lane have narrower carriageways with on-street parking on both sides. A large Luton van can struggle here. Our drivers assess the access in advance and bring the right size van for the street.

However, some of the residential streets feeding off Alan Turing Way, such as those near the Showcase Cinema De Lux, have speed bumps and restricted-width gates that limit access.

Properties on Charter Street and around the Manchester Mayfield development boundary sometimes have controlled parking zones.

You may need a temporary suspension permit for the loading bay. We can advise you on this when you book, and in many cases our drivers handle brief kerbside loading without needing a suspension.

Terraced streets in the M11 3 and M11 4 zones often have no front gardens, which means items come straight out of the front door onto a public pavement.
