Shaw town centre has a pedestrianised section running through Market Street which means vans cannot pull up directly outside some shops and addresses near the high street. For those properties, we park on the nearest accessible street and use a sack trolley for shorter carries.

Crompton Way and the surrounding residential streets are narrow but mostly accessible to a Transit or Luton van.

The real challenge comes with the older terraces off High Street, where some rear-entry ginnels are too narrow for a van and items must come through the front. Our crew identifies these situations on the pre-move call and adjusts accordingly.

Shaw Road and the main routes through OL2 are generally straightforward.

The Tesco Extra roundabout at Shaw Road can be congested between 12pm and 2pm and again after 4pm. We route around it for moves on those time slots.

Permit parking zones apply in parts of the OL2 residential area.

We check permit requirements for both your pickup and drop-off addresses before the move. For controlled zones, we advise you to apply for a temporary suspension through Oldham Council at least five working days before your move date. We can provide the letter you need for that application.

Shaw retail park off Shaw Road has good loading access.
