Even if you hire our full packing service, a little preparation on your side makes the day run faster and costs you less.

Start with a sort.

Before our team arrives, do a room-by-room declutter. Anything you are not taking to the new address should be donated, sold, or disposed of. This reduces the volume we need to pack and can bring your quote down.

Separate valuables and essentials.

Passports, medication, phone chargers, a change of clothes, and anything you need on arrival should go into a bag you keep with you. Do not pack these into boxes we are moving. This avoids the common panic of digging through boxes on the first night.

Clear access routes.

Move furniture away from doors. Make sure hallways and stairs are clear. If you are in one of Nottingham's older terraced properties where the staircase is narrow, let us know in advance. We may bring a smaller crew with a different equipment setup.

Disconnect appliances the day before.

Washing machines need their drums secured. Fridges need to be defrosted and emptied. If you are leaving behind a loft full of items, let us know when you book so we can allocate the right time.

Label any boxes you pack yourself clearly.

Use a marker on the top and one side of each box. Write the room name and a one-line contents note. This saves significant time on the delivery end and means your new home is organised from day one.
