Remove contents
We empty drawers, shelves, and hanging rails before lifting to lighten the load and prevent internal damage.
Remove doors where possible
Mirror doors and sliding doors come off first — they ride flat, blanket-wrapped, separately from the carcass.
Blanket wrapping
Heavy quilted furniture blankets cover the whole carcass — secured with reusable ratchet straps.
Corner and edge protection
Foam corner caps protect veneer edges from chips during loading, transport, and unloading.
Upright transport
Antiques and tall freestanding wardrobes always travel upright — strapped to van tie-down points.
Mirror protection
Mirror doors get a second layer — cardboard sandwich between blankets to block any shock to the glass.
