Plumbing Disconnection and Reconnection
Before Collection
Washing machine / dishwasher
Turn off the water supply valves, disconnect the inlet and drain hoses, leave to drain for 30 minutes, and secure the hoses to the back of the unit.
Fridge freezer
Defrost 24 hours before collection, unplug, and wipe the interior dry.
Cooker (electric)
Switch off at the isolator and unplug from the cooker connection unit.
Cooker (gas)
Book a Gas Safe engineer to cap the supply and disconnect. Do not attempt this yourself.
After Delivery
Washing machine
Reconnect the inlet and drain hoses. Most competent householders can do this.
Fridge freezer
Plug in. Wait 4 hours before switching on if it was tilted during transport.
Cooker (gas)
A Gas Safe engineer is required — this is a legal requirement, not optional.
