Torquay is not an easy town to navigate in a large van.

The Victorian street layout in the town centre, particularly around Abbey Road and Fleet Street near the harbour, means wide lorries simply cannot get through. We use smaller Luton vans and Sprinters for these areas rather than 7.5-tonne vehicles, so we never block your road or damage your property.

The residential streets in Chelston, particularly Rathmore Road and Old Mill Road, run on gradients steep enough to require good handbrake discipline and experienced crew.

Our drivers train specifically on hilly coastal towns. Properties on Babbacombe Downs Road and the surrounding clifftop estates often have very limited frontage, with no on-street parking at all. We always scout the drop-off point before the move day if you flag it as difficult.

The TQ1 postcode covers central Torquay and is the busiest zone we serve.

TQ2 includes Chelston, Cockington, and Torre. TQ3 takes in Paignton and Preston, which we treat as part of the wider Torquay area. Permit zones apply in parts of TQ1 near the harbour. This is a mix of Victorian terraces, 1960s semis, and modern new-builds. The Willows retail park end of Shiphay Lane brings awkward loading conditions near the roundabout, which our drivers know well.

TQ3 covers Paignton town centre, Preston, Goodrington, and Churston Ferrers.

We treat TQ3 moves as local Torquay jobs with no long-distance surcharge.

TQ4 reaches Brixham via Churston, and TQ5 covers Brixham itself.
