Highfields has specific access challenges that any removal company must handle correctly.

Getting these wrong costs time and money.

Parking on Evington Road and East Park Road is restricted throughout the day.

Our drivers carry parking suspension request knowledge, and for large jobs we advise customers to apply for a temporary suspension via Leicester City Council at least 48 hours in advance. Suspensions cost around £55 per day and are processed by the council's Parking Services team.

Many of the terraced homes on streets like Guthlaxton Street and Brixham Drive have no front garden or bay.

This means the loading point is the pavement edge. We use a 3.5-tonne Luton van or a short-wheelbase Sprinter depending on the street. Luton vans are better for volume. Sprinters fit tighter roads.

Some properties in the area are split into flats with no lift access.

If your home has steep or narrow stairs, tell us when you book. We bring the right team size. A ground-floor move needs one person to assist the driver. A top-floor flat on a tight staircase needs two.

The A6 London Road and Welford Road run along the western edge of Highfields.

Both carry heavy traffic during rush hour. We schedule morning collections between 9:30am and 11:30am to avoid peak delays. If you need an early start for a long-distance job, we can begin loading from 7:30am.

Proximity to the ring road via the Evington Road junction means we can reach the M1 at Junction 21 in around 20 minutes outside of peak hours.

This makes Highfields a practical starting point for moves to London, Birmingham, or Nottingham.

Aylestone, Glen Parva, and South Wigston (LE2 and LE18) are reachable via Welford Road and the A426.
